Bonnie McWade-Furtado, associate research and development scientist at Cabor Corp. (Billerica, Massachusetts, USA), has joined ASTM International Board of Directors.
She will serve a three-year term on the ASTM International board of directors.
McWade-Furtado has been with Cabot Corp, a global specialty chemicals and performance materials company, since 1993 when she joined the company as a research associate, assuming her current role in 2000.
An ASTM International member since 2003, McWade-Furtado is a member of the committees on carbon black (D24), recovered carbon black (rCB) (D36), and plastic piping systems (F17).
Additionally, she holds a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from Northeastern University.
ASTM International’s board of directors is made up of 25 leaders from an array of companies, associations, and government bodies worldwide. Several members are based outside the United States.
